Capture and sharing information

Capture information in a single place, but allow sharing of information between entities
  • Identify the appropriate level for each piece of information
  • For concepts defined at a higher level, enforce compliance with those constraints when entering information at lower levels.
  • For concepts defined at lower levels, roll up information at higher levels rather than capturing the information separately
  • Reduce the number of free text inputs for all entities except the AOP and capture information through more structured forms

Sounds promising. In addition for concepts defined at a higher level we would need to think how to represents KERs from one upper level to another upper level KE that would allow for tissue specificity, complexity, interactions etc. E.g. ACE2 dysregulation (part of it: upregulation of enzymatic activity leads to X1 while Downregulation of protein on cell membrane leads to X2), where X may be a different upper level KE (e.g. microvascular dysfunction) consisting of different subevents X1, X2, ...Xi).
